Trying for something different

I did two drawings today.  But one of them is the kitten again, but in a slightly different look.  I'm going to try and put both drawings up.  Of course they look better when viewed up close and personal, but that is only possible if you know me.  Wishing that I had a better selection of colored pencils, but these will do for now.

What I'm Looking For

I am trying to get into the world of illustration.  But, I need some feedback to perfect my style of drawing.  Where would I find people interested in my drawings?  What might be a better subject matter to draw?  Anything you want to tell me would more than likely be helpful.  I do have an affinity for animals, but can draw a wider variety of things.  As I continue to post, I'll be trying out new things.  It's about time I did this.  Hope to see some comments.

Just starting out

While I have drawn for most of my life, I haven't had my work seen by the general public (even family) until now.  There are only two pieces of my work that have been viewed by my family and this isn't one of them.  While told that I have talent, I tend to find it hard to believe.  Most of my current drawings are done in only a few hours and I love to draw a variety of things.  My favorite mediums are colored pencil, black pens, and colored markers (when I have them).  I have a background in graphic design, but didn't use it because of the immediate need to pay student loans.  I am ready to use my talents now.  I will post more of my work as I finish new pieces and some of my older ones too.  This should give a hint of what I can do.
